High Rock Outfitters in Lexington presents Jim Lauderdale with Daniel Justin Smith on Aug. 24

LEXINGTON, N.C. — When I think of singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale, the first song that comes to mind is “I Met Jesus in a Bar.” But he has more songs. Many, many more. One of Nashville’s most prolific songwriters and a frequent draw at MerleFest, the North Carolina native will be performing at High Rock Outfitters, 13 South Main St., on Sunday, Aug. 24, with Daniel Justin Smith beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15.
