The Bluegrass Situation, PineCone present second annual ‘Shout and Shine: A Celebration of Diversity in Bluegrass’ during IBMA’s 2017 ‘World of Bluegrass’

The Bluegrass Situation and PineCone have announced that the second annual “Shout & Shine: A Celebration of Diversity in Bluegrass” will take place during the International Bluegrass Music Association’s 2017 World of Bluegrass business conference. The showcase, which works to foster representation and inclusion of the diverse artists, musicians and professionals who love and create bluegrass and roots music, will be held from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at The Pour House in Raleigh, North Carolina, and is part of IBMA’s official showcase schedule/lineup, The Bluegrass Ramble. On Huffington Post: Watch Exclusive Premiere of Jack the Radio’s ‘Bad Man’ Video

It’s been six years since North Carolina-based <a href=”http://www.jacktheradio.com/home&#8221; target=”_hplink”>Jack the Radio</a> took aim at what members of the group called the “groove-heavy, southern-tinged gap” in the Raleigh music scene.

I had the pleasure of hearing this alt-country Southern rock band play live at <a href=”http://calebcaudle.com/&#8221; target=”_hplink”>Caleb Caudle</a>’s “Carolina Ghost” album release show earlier this year at <a href=”http://www.the-garage.ws/&#8221; target=”_hplink”>The Garage</a> in Winston-Salem. Now, Jack the Radio has its own release to share.

On Friday, April 1, the indie, roots rockers will celebrate the band’s newest music video “Bad Man” at a release party during Raleigh’s First Friday events. Continue reading
