WILKESBORO, N.C. (March 21, 2017) – America’s top roots music festival MerleFest, presented by Window World and slated for April 27-30, 2017, is pleased to announce the return of two well-known, innovative Saturday night events for late night festival revelers.
The good folks over at Delfest have announced the final lineup for the 10th-annual event set for Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-28, 2017, just outside Cumberland, Maryland
The lineup includes Railroad Earth, Tim O’Brien, The Gibson Brothers (special trio set: Leigh & Eric Gibson and Mike Barber), Red Knuckles & The Trailblazers, River Whyless, Dead Man Winter feat. Dave Simonett from (Trampled By Turtles), Cris Jacobs, The Broomestix, Dead Winter Carpenters, The Ballroom Thieves, Head For the Hills, Ghost of Paul Revere, Kitchen Dwellers and Grand Ole’ Ditch have all been added to the DelFest lineup. Sierra Hull, Billy Strings and Bryan Sutton will be Artists-at-Large and Pete Wernick, Nick Forster and Joe Craven will all lead workshops. See the full lineup here.

These artists join a list of performers already announced including Zac Brown Band, The Avett Brothers, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives and many more. This year marks MerleFest’s 30th celebration. The annual homecoming of musicians and music fans returns to the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The 13th annual Fall Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance will feature more than 50 bands and performers on two big outdoor stages, a large dance tent and a more intimate Cabaret Tent on Oct. 6-9 in Pittsboro, North Carolina.
MerleFest, slated for April 28–May 1, 2016, announced today John Oates, a legend of American music, will be joining the official 2016 festival lineup as the final headliner. Also announced, Donna the Buffalo will host the much-anticipated Midnight Jam at the Walker Center, and the Jam will be sponsored by The Bluegrass Situation.
Donna the Buffalo with Peter Rowan are coming to The Rives Theatre in uptown Martinsville, Virginia, on Saturday, Nov. 21, in what is being billed as possibly the venue’s biggest show since it was re-opened five years ago. Continue reading →

Before heading to the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion on the Virginia/Tennessee border this weekend, Delta blues sensation Jarekus Singleton is making a stop with his full band in uptown Martinsville, Virginia, to perform in the historic Rives Theatre.
