Blue Ridge Music Center Summer Saturday Concert Series 2025 wraps up with Dori Freeman, Donna the Buffalo, Del McCoury Band and more

Do you love American Roots Music? Enjoy seeing some of the best musicians and bands in a magnificent outdoor venue?

Then the Blue Ridge Music Center Summer Saturday Evening Concert Series should hit just the right note.

The annual concert series is held in a spacious outdoor amphitheater at the base of Fisher Peak just off The Blue Ridge Parkway (Milepost 213) between Galax, Virginia, and Mount Airy, North Carolina.

The 53rd annual RockyGrass Festival 2025 is set for July 25-27. Very limited tickets and camping are still available! Located in Lyons, Colorado, RockyGrass is traditional bluegrass at its finest. Red rock cliffs and ottonwoods peer down over the property as the North St. Vrain River flows through the festival grounds just feet from the main stage.

ROMP Festival ticket prices increase at midnight on Dec. 2

This year’s ROMP festival is headlined by a powerhouse roster of talent, featuring some of the biggest names in bluegrass and beyond, including Wynonna Judd, Del McCoury Band, Sam Bush, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, The SteelDrivers, The Dillards, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Willie Watson, Mountain Grass Unit, and many more. With its blend of classic bluegrass, innovative Americana, and roots music, ROMP Festival is a celebration of both the legends and rising stars in the music industry.

ROMP offers a variety of camping options, including both tent camping and RV camping. The festival is also known for its family-friendly atmosphere, offering a blend of world-class music, spectacular outdoor settings, and a range of activities for festival-goers of all ages. In addition to the impressive music lineup, attendees can look forward to several artist-led workshops. 

Ticket prices will increase on Dec. 3. Four-day tickets are discounted at $185, and VIP tickets are available for $465 and include catered meals, air-conditioned restrooms, and prime stage views. Onsite tent and RV camping passes are also available. Children 12 & under are free for general admission.

DelFest announces Phase 2 of 2024 lineup


DEL YEAH! Two iconic musical families are going to join forces for a one-of-a-kind set as Lukas Nelson will be backed by The Travelin’ McCourys, the organizers of DelFest, set for May 23-26 in Cumberland Maryland, announced today.

Performers announced for 33rd annual IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards show on Sept. 29

IBMA has announced performances by four of this year IBMA’s Entertainer of Year Nominees for this year’s Bluegrass Music Awards show on Sept. 29: Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, Sister Sadie and Del McCoury Band.

Also, a star-studded list of performances by Dan Tyminski Band, Ronnie Bowman and Bela Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart will be included in the show, with special Hall of Fame tributes and performances to honor Norman Blake, Peter Rowan and Paul “Moon” Mullins.

The awards will be held at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh.

Bluegrass music’s biggest night is 2019 International Bluegrass Music Awards

Tonight’s the night: the biggest night of the year for bluegrass musicians around the globe. All eyes and ears will be focused on the red carpet at the Duke Energy Performing Arts Center in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, as the industry’s biggest and brightest stars head to the 30th Annual International Bluegrass Music Awards.

Nominees for “Entertainer of the Year” are Balsam Range, Sam Bush Band, The Earls of Leicester, Del McCoury Band and first-time nominee Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers. The five nominees have a whopping 24 nominations among them this year. Multiple nominations for Sister Sadie, Carolina Blue, Mile Twelve, Molly Tuttle, Missy Raines and Rhonda Vincent are also notable on this year’s list of nominees.

Can’t make it the awards show in person? The show will be broadcast live on Sirius XM Satellite Radio (Bluegrass Junction) at 7:30 p.m. EDT, streamed via Facebook Live and will be made available for rebroadcast by radio stations worldwide, thanks to the sponsorship of Chiesi USA, Virginia Tourism, Deering Banjos, Compass Records, the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, BMI, and Boston Bluegrass Union. 11th annual DelFest initial lineup features Old Crow Medicine Show, The Wood Brothers, Elephant Revival, Fruition

This just in from the good folks over at DelFest:
In July, Del McCoury began sending out hand rolled parchment invitations to a select group of deserving musical participants to join his DelFest 2018 Bluegrass Congress. On Memorial Day weekend, May 24-27, 2018, the Bluegrass Congress, which includes Ricky Skaggs, David Grisman, Sam Bush, Béla Fleck, Jerry Douglas, Bryan Sutton and Stuart Duncan, will officially be called to order. These musicians represent the best at what they do in the field of bluegrass and will convene on Saturday evening (May 26), joining the Del McCoury Band for a picking party like none other in festival history. In addition to the Saturday evening show, most members of Congress will play their own set during DelFest (see lineup below).
Along with the primary Congress, this year’s lineup is heavy on picking with fan favorites like Old Crow Medicine Show, The Wood Brothers, Elephant Revival and Fruition.
