If you like bluegrass and barbecue, you won’t want to miss the seventh annual Chantilly Farm Bluegrass and BBQ Festival set for May 26-28, 2017. Chantilly Farm, located at 2697 Franklin Pike Road in Floyd, Virginia, is the home festival of the award-winning Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice.
As part of the 2017 Classic Country Concert Series, the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds and 98.1 WBRF Classic Country will host country music star Travis Tritt and his full band at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017, in the Annex Theatre. Doors for the event will open at 6 p.m. The Marshall Tucker Band, or what’s left of it, is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. on June 16, 2017. I discovered two of my favorite bands — Yarn and Will Overman Band — at the annual Rooster Walk Music and Arts Festival just outside Martinsville, Virginia. Rooster Walk 9 is set for May 25-28, 2017.
