For 33 years Lexington, North Carolina, has been serving up its unique style of pit-cooked barbecue along with a slew of free musical entertainment at the Old North State’s largest single-day festival and this year is no exception.
Head to Davidson County beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, from Fifth Avenue to Fifth Street to experience six stages of free entertainment as well as a classic car show, a dog show, arts and crafts vendors and many other attractions including an exclusive release of Childress Vineyards wine.
This year’s musical headliners are country artists Gary Allan and Trent Tomlinson, who can be found performing beginning at 2 p.m. on the grandstand stage at the intersection of West Center and Main streets. The rest of the musical schedule can be found here.
For the first time, the festival has partnered with the Edward C. Smith Civic Center to offer festival visitors the opportunity to enjoy performances indoors in its historic theater, according to organizers.
Doors open at 11 a.m. for the Trinity Quartet, which is set to perform at 11:30 a.m., followed by The Snyder Family Band at 1 p.m.
